Translating is a funny process.....

and a tiring task too....This happened when I did my Malay version questionnaire....It is a hard thing to do, not a simple task although our mother tongue language is Malay okay....I find out that translating the questionnaire from English to Malay is difficult - in order to make sure it carries the same meaning for both languages and it is quite funny too. Sometimes, direct translation won't mean the same. For me, English language is very simple and straight to the point compared to Malay - it will take more Malay words to explain a single English word. However, this process is compulsory for those who plan to conduct a survey study in Malaysia, since Malay language is widely used by all and it is our national language too. Frankly speaking, I prefer that my survey questionnaire contain both languages - to make the respondents' life easier. If they happened to get confuse with the Malay "phrase", they can refer to the English one.

Thanks to my big bro for helping me....Thanks to my other half for making fun of me during this process (he always make things simple & he likes direct translation - which makes him very cute) ;oD....To my youngest sis - thank you for lending me your "Kamus Dwibahasa Oxford Fajar"....

So right now, it is up to my supervisor. He will definitely gives his opinion and will ask me to make some changes later on....

To Do....

There are several things to do before 22nd June 2008. I'm quite busy now with the registration preparation, with everything else too. I did the medical check-up yesterday but the full results (especially some of the tests needed on my urine and blood) are not ready yet. The staff told me to contact Pusat Rawatan Islam Az-Zahrah tomorrow (Wednesday) to confirm whether the remaining results of the blood and urine tests are ready or not before I can come to collect it (must see the doctor again). Alhamdulillah, so far so good. My chest x-ray looks good, no drugs detected in my urine etc. UUM new postgraduate registration will be on the 22nd June (Sunday). Before the registration, I need to fill in several forms, prepare the original copy of all the certificates needed by them (academic transcripts etc.). I also need to obtain the financial affidavit from my sponsors and the letter of release from my organization. I really hope that I'll manage to settle these two important things ...

2016

Setelah sekian lama bersawang ....

Sisters (Danielle Steel)

I've read this novel and it was very interesting. This novel is about four sisters-Sabrina, Tammy, Annie, and Candy. They are very close to each other and they really care about their parents very much. Sabrina-the eldest, is an ambitious young lawyer, Tammy-the second, is a successful t.v. show producer, Annie-the third sister, is an American artist in Florence (she likes art very much) and Candy-the youngest, is a fashion's latest international supermodel. Although they are very busy with their career, they always make sure that they spend Fourth of July weekend together, with their parents at their parents' house. However, something happened unexpectedly and changed their life forever. Want to know more about the story in this novel? I guess it is better for you to read it. Highly recommended. Below is the summary taken from Danielle Steel's website: Four sisters, a Manhattan brownstone, and a tumultuous year of loss and courage are at the heart of Danielle Steel’...
