[The Other Side of the Story]

30 June 2009..... Almost two years after leaving QUT (to be precise, two years after my proposal defense @ QUT), here I am @ UUM, still struggling to finish my study..... Alhamdulillah, He gives me strength to still fight for my future.... With lots of ups & downs, with more downs than the ups....not everyone understand what we've gone through....WE a.k.a. masters/PhD students doing research.... To everyone, especially my other half, my parents, my grandma & my parents-in law, my siblings & my family, my friends....thank you very much for the prayers & wishes....Still, I need everyone "doa" in the next phase of my study.... To my supervisor - thank you for your guidance, support, for everything.... To Ila, my best friend - thank you very much for everything sweetie.... To Sabrina - babe, counting days to meet you.... Again and again, to my precious, my other half.... I LOVE YOU SO MUCH

and a tiring task too....This happened when I did my Malay version questionnaire....It is a hard thing to do, not a simple task although our mother tongue language is Malay okay....I find out that translating the questionnaire from English to Malay is difficult - in order to make sure it carries the same meaning for both languages and it is quite funny too. Sometimes, direct translation won't mean the same. For me, English language is very simple and straight to the point compared to Malay - it will take more Malay words to explain a single English word. However, this process is compulsory for those who plan to conduct a survey study in Malaysia, since Malay language is widely used by all and it is our national language too. Frankly speaking, I prefer that my survey questionnaire contain both languages - to make the respondents' life easier. If they happened to get confuse with the Malay "phrase", they can refer to the English one. Thanks to my big bro for helping me....

Dah lama tak update blog nie, too busy....Masih terasa penat dengan my sis's wedding, penat dengan tugasan harian....Lately, tak sihat sebab selsema sikit.... Alhamdulillah, syukur sangat kepada Yang Maha Esa sebab masih diberikan kesempatan menyambut ulangtahun perkahwinan kami yang keempat....050509 adalah our 4th wedding anniversary and we went to Tanjung Bungah Beach Hotel to spend our time together....Kira macam honeymoon la, memang always in honeymoon mood sebenarnya....Makin lama makin sayang kan? ;oD Sempat ke Gurney Plaza - dah lama tak ke situ. Last time was 7 years ago - teringat zaman kat uni, nak belikan handbag kat mak (ayah minta tolong) so time tue redah naik bas ke Gurney Plaza with Aida & Yus (rindu saat-saat kat USM, especially time spent with Aida, Yus & Azilah)....Ok, berbalik kepada what we did on our anniversary day - planned nak watch movie tapi movie yang we wanted to watch ada problem sikit (GSC sistem problem). Thank you very much Sabrina - sebab bagi semangat kat aku. Betul kata ko, kita tak boleh mengalah. Jalan kita tak sama macam orang lain so kena teruskan usaha, kuatkan semangat sampai la penghujungnya. Sama-sama la kita mendoakan kejayaan kita bersama, insya-Allah. Yesterday masa outing, singgah Popular @ Megamall. Mulanya my hubby yang nak beli buku, pastu bila check content buku yang dia nak tue (pasal editing gambar), dia kata semua yang ada dalam buku tue dia dah boleh buat. Dia ingat buku tue ada pasal editing yang "hardcore" la (aku pun angguk buat-buat paham apa yang dia maksudkan). At last, aku pulak yang beli English novels, menambahkan koleksi aku padahal banyak lagi yang belum habis dibaca ;oD Since my better half nak belikan (tambahan hadiah birthday aku, mesti dia rasa bersalah sebab birthday gift dia mintak kat aku mahal, hehehe) aku pilih 3 novels: Change of Heart (Jodi Picoult) Remember Me? (Sophie Kinsella) Can You Keep a Secret? (Sophie Kinsella) Two novels are on sale, so ada discount la. Yang lagi satu, member discount 10% so not bad la kan....Pastu, alang-alang tengok buku nie, aku sambar buku Sophie Kinsella.... Confessions of a Shophaholic ....So buat masa nie, aim nak collect novels Sophie Kinsella plak. John Gri...

Here we go....I would like to share several photos, taken on several occasions....The first and the most wonderful occasion was our lunch date @ Black Canyon, AEON Seberang Prai City. It was on my birthday. We ordered mushroom soup, spring rolls, cappucino, latte, Salmon Steak and Beef Steak. Guess what? Salmon Steak is the most expensive meal at Black Canyon but since it was my birthday & my hubby was the one who will pay for the bill so lantak la, order saja....Dah lama teringin nak makan Salmon Steak kat sini. Thanks honey, bebila belanja lagi (habis la aku next month, mesti dia belasah nak makan kat tempat lagi special masa birthday dia)....Masa ayah belanja, tak berani nak order Salmon steak sebab ayah pun cuma order fish steak jer, hehehe....So, enjoy the pics (kami berdua tengah gila amik gambar makanan kat tempat-tempat exclusive yang kami pi makan - exclusive tahap kami la).... Yesterday, my other half belanja lunch sempena my birthday. Where? Black Canyon @ AEON Seberang Prai City....Yummy & delicious....Akan diupdate apa menu yang kami pilih beserta photos soon...Yang penting, memang dapat la makan apa yang diidam-idamkan....Thank you very much sayang @ Chepok (nama timangan my hubby yang aku reka khusus, hihihi)....

Today is my 28th birthday. Praise to Allah s.w.t. sebab masih diberi kesempatan untuk terus hidup di muka bumi-Nya. Thanks mum & dad - without them, takkan lahirlah SUMAIYAH. Million thanks to my other half, the precious gift in my life - I LOVE YOU SO MUCH.... Thanks everyone for the birthday wishes & gifts... May Allah Bless all of you always...
