The Incredible Hulk

We watched this movie last nite at TGV The Mines. There were a lot of people since yesterday was the first screening day of this excellent movie. It was superb.... I enjoyed this movie very much (although action movies are not my passion, but I can still enjoy it). My other half loves this movie very much. This is the first time we watched movie at TGV, we normally watched movies at GSC. The disadvantage: we do not prefer the chairs - it is not comfortable. GSC (Alamanda, I've been to this one and this cinema was the first cinema in Malaysia that I've been into - after we got married - I've never been to cinema before). The first time - during our first wedding anniversary (050506) at South Bank Cinema, Brisbane and we watched MI3. Back to the discussion of GSC and TGV. The chairs are more comfortable at GSC (Alamanda) and not many people are there too. The ticket price is the same. However, we decided to watch this movie at TGV The Mines because the screening times at GSC

To Do....

There are several things to do before 22nd June 2008. I'm quite busy now with the registration preparation, with everything else too. I did the medical check-up yesterday but the full results (especially some of the tests needed on my urine and blood) are not ready yet. The staff told me to contact Pusat Rawatan Islam Az-Zahrah tomorrow (Wednesday) to confirm whether the remaining results of the blood and urine tests are ready or not before I can come to collect it (must see the doctor again). Alhamdulillah, so far so good. My chest x-ray looks good, no drugs detected in my urine etc. UUM new postgraduate registration will be on the 22nd June (Sunday). Before the registration, I need to fill in several forms, prepare the original copy of all the certificates needed by them (academic transcripts etc.). I also need to obtain the financial affidavit from my sponsors and the letter of release from my organization. I really hope that I'll manage to settle these two important things

John Grisham's Novels

I'm a big fan of John Grisham since I was 17 years old. It happened unexpectedly (I fall in love with his novels), during my long vacation after the SPM exams - while waiting for the results. My mum borrowed some English novels from the library, hoping that by reading the English novels my English proficiency will be improved. It does, thank you mum and it also makes me fall in love again and again to John Grisham (to his novels, to be exact, not him okay). The first novel that I read was The Client (if I'm not mistaken). Not long after reading "The Client", I watched the movie (adapted from the novel). My dad also watched the movie and he said he adored the main kid character of the movie - the kid is brave and brilliant. I thought the same too. We also watched "A Time to Kill" (movie) and it was fascinating. At that time I haven't read the novel yet. The first John Grisham's novel that I bought was "The Chamber" and the second one was &qu

Kung Fu Panda

We went to watch this movie yesterday. It was superb, very entertaining.... I love the panda named Po in this movie. Cute, chubby, clumsy (like myself, hahaha).... I also adore Tigress (it's Angelina Jolie - I'm not a big fan of her okay). The snow leopard (Tai Lung) was very cute when he first came to Master Shifu and later on, he became wild when his requests (to obtain something - it is a "Dragon Scroll" if I'm not mistaken) being rejected. He was sent to the prison then. The panda (Po) adores Kung Fu and one of the big fan of the legendary Furious Five (Tigress, Crane, Mantis, Viper, and Monkey). And the story begin.... The synopsis of this movie is as follows (from GSC website): Enthusiastic, big and a little clumsy, Po is the biggest fan of Kung Fu around…which doesn't exactly come in handy while working every day in his family's noodle shop. Unexpectedly chosen to fulfill an ancient prophecy, Po's dreams become reality when he joins the world of

Ketika Cinta Bertasbih (Episod 2)

As I promised…. I’ve finished reading the novel – Ketika Cinta Bertasbih (Episod 2). For those who love Habiburrahman El Shirazy’s novels, I’ll share some information about this novel and maybe I’ll add my opinions and comments about the novel too. This entry has to be (supposed to be) in Malay because the novel is in Bahasa Indonesia but I’ll mix the language – Malay, English & Indo. I might not understand some of the words used by the author so I’m just guessing and using my own logic in understanding the whole story. Overall, I can spot several typo errors. In some cases, I just ignored it (there might be some differences in Malay & Indonesia in term of spelling, although we meant to explain/tell the same thing) but there are a few places whereby the author keeps on referring to other people’s name when he actually meant to write another person’s name (for e.g. Anna & Husna, he did mean Anna but he typed Husna or vise versa etc. – there are too many names in t

Apa Ertinya Cinta? (2)

Previous entry is Apa Ertinya Cinta? from Ayatul Husna's perspective, this entry I would like to write Apa Ertinya Cinta? from Bintun Nahl @ Anna Althafunnisa (Ketika Cinta Bertasbih - Episod 2: pages 102-103). "Emm.... cinta!

Apa Ertinya Cinta?

Bagiku Cinta adalah kekuatan Ia ada kemampuan Mengubah duri menjadi mawar Mengubah cuka menjadi anggur Mengubah malang menjadi tuah Mengubah sedih menjadi riang Mengubah syaitan menjadi nabi Mengubah iblis menjadi malaikat Mengubah sakit menjadi sihat Mengubah kedekut menjadi dermawan Mengubah kandang menjadi taman Mengubah penjara menjadi istana Mengubah amarah menjadi ramah Mengubah musibah menjadi muhibah Itulah cinta! Petikan puisi daripada Ayatul Husna ketika ditanya apa erti cinta baginya (Ketika Cinta Bertasbih - Episod 2: pages 101-102).

It's Friday....

Today is Friday (so what? Everyone knows it).... Yeah, I know everyone knows it, Friday means the following day is Saturday and the next day is Sunday bla bla bla.... It's weekend ;oD (happy faces, hahaha). What's my plan for this weekend? Well, since the petrol price goes up, we have to cut off our expenditure for leisure activities that involved in the usage of car @ petrol. That's mean, no more unnecessary outing. No more movies, window shopping etc. I'm going back home early today (I'm not supposed to but I don't have any option) and will follow my husband and Kak Ina ( Posepixel.com ) to capture the "akad nikah" event at Senawang. Then, after the "akad nikah" ceremony (and maybe some outdoor session), we'll think about tonight's plan - if we still have time to spend tonight. Tomorrow (Saturday) is my husband's best friend wedding reception at Dengkil. However, we might not be able to go to his house during the ceremony but we

Today's Activities

Well, today is Thursday.... Nothing special but I managed to get a few things done.... First, we went to HSBC Jalan Ipoh to close our joint account there. Because of HSBC is considered as an international bank, they charge RM10 for each withdrawal done at local banks such as Maybank, CIMB and many more (they claim that the local banks actually charge them this rate - they are not the one who get the money). Just imagine, total charges for the withdrawal that we made in 3 months is RM200. We think that such amount is not worth spending that way especially with the increase in petrol price starting 12.01 am today (frankly speaking - I did not expect they increased the price to RM2.70 per liter - very expensive). We closed the account and deposited the cash to Tabung Haji at Jalan Tun Razak (second things done - cross the "to do" checklist). Next, we went to Low Yatt Plaza . My husband wants to upgrade his PC's, buy the t.v. card and a few computer gadgets. I intended to

Sisters (Danielle Steel)

I've read this novel and it was very interesting. This novel is about four sisters-Sabrina, Tammy, Annie, and Candy. They are very close to each other and they really care about their parents very much. Sabrina-the eldest, is an ambitious young lawyer, Tammy-the second, is a successful t.v. show producer, Annie-the third sister, is an American artist in Florence (she likes art very much) and Candy-the youngest, is a fashion's latest international supermodel. Although they are very busy with their career, they always make sure that they spend Fourth of July weekend together, with their parents at their parents' house. However, something happened unexpectedly and changed their life forever. Want to know more about the story in this novel? I guess it is better for you to read it. Highly recommended. Below is the summary taken from Danielle Steel's website: Four sisters, a Manhattan brownstone, and a tumultuous year of loss and courage are at the heart of Danielle Steel’

Apa Kata Hati?

I watched this movie with my hubby on the 29th May 2008 at GSC Alamanda Putrajaya. Well, since this is the second Malay movie that we watched in the cinema after "Congkak", I considered this movie as enjoyable and funny. The story is very simple but catchy. For the first time I watched Awie (a.k.a. Sophie - his role in this movie) in a very different role compared to his previous roles (as hero etc.) in his other movies. He is very funny.... Awal Ashaari is okay but still, I don't like his acting maybe because I don't like him (frankly speaking).... I enjoyed watching Raja Farah when she acts in "comedy" films (Salon and this one - Apa Kata Hati?). Dynas and Farid Kamil are okay too. I would say that AC Mizal and the other supporting roles (Ogy, Harun Salim Bachik, Shaney and many more) also important in making this movie as what it is. Go and watch this movie when you have time key....
